Variable-Pitch Intake

Designed for "Touch-it-Own-it" acquisition using high-traction rubber wheels and a 3.7k RPM motor deep-mounted in the chassis.

  • Active Grip: High-friction rubber Lego wheels
  • Synchronized dual-chain power transmission

Tri-Chamber & Indexable Flicker

The heart of our scoring efficiency. Our segmented "clover" geometry prevents jams and allows for high-cadence firing.

  • Passive Kinetic Sorting: No complex sensors
  • Sub-0.5s reset time for rapid-fire bursts

360° Precision Turret

By engineering a custom DIY bearing stack, we integrated rotation gears directly into the plates.

  • Continuous 360° rotation for zero-turn scoring
  • Field-centric PID control via IMU data

Sensor Fusion & Auto-Logic

We use mathematical localization to overcome hardware limits, allowing the robot to understand its position in real-time.

  • Triple-Disc Odometry: Precise (x, y, θ) tracking.
  • OpenCV Hue Filtering: Automated pattern matching.

Beyond the Competition

What is FIRST?

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a global robotics community that prepares young people for the future through a suite of inclusive, team-based robotics programs. It’s more than just building robots; it’s about "Gracious Professionalism" and "Coopertition."

As part of the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), we are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. It forces us to apply real-world math and science concepts while developing problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Through FIRST, we gain access to over $80 million in college scholarships and a network of professionals who are redefining the boundaries of STEM.

Our Club: RoboRooster #32819

RoboRooster is a student-led robotics club dedicated to engineering excellence. We operate as a mini-tech company where students specialize in CAD Design, Java programming, mechanical assembly, and community outreach. Our mission is to bridge the gap between classroom theory and hands-on application.

In our lab, we don't just follow instructions—we iterate. From our early "Cardboard & Duct Tape" prototypes to our final V3 precision-engineered assembly, every component is a result of rigorous testing and data-driven design.
